It has lasted me through nursing my son and now my daughter and works just as well now as when I purchased it. This pump is very easy to set up, and has adjustable suction strength and speed. I can pump in less than 7 minutes and fully empty both breasts when I use the double setup. To say the least, this machine is awesome. It truly can double your pleasure and your fun. A job that used to take a minimum of 30 minute each night, was now down to 5-10 minutes total. The Ameda Purely Yours is truly a very quiet, powerful, quick action electrifying breastpump. Yes, you are going to spend some pretty pennies, when compared to machine number one, but it is WELL worth it. The pump has not only a power or suction setting, but also a speed setting. Never in my life have I seen a faster pump. If I had to purchase one again, I would definitely go with Ameda Purely Yours. Think about it....you spend $200 on this pump, and this is a one time fee. The average person who does not breastfeed spends roughly $1200/year on formula. That fact alone makes me grin from eat to ear.
